As I sit down to reflect on the past three years here at Saint Constantine as the athletic director, I am filled with gratitude, joy and a sense of anticipation for what lies ahead. After much prayer, I have decided to step away from my position, but this is not a farewell to the world of athletics or Saint Constantine. Instead, it marks the beginning of a new chapter.
From the moment I accepted this position, I felt a sense of calling. I have had the privilege of watching our athletic program grow and to be a part of teaching our students life lessons, and instilling values such as teamwork, perseverance, and faith.
When I first stepped into the role of athletic director, I was filled with excitement and a bit of trepidation. The responsibility of overseeing an athletic program was daunting, yet it was a challenge I embraced wholeheartedly. I quickly learned that being an athletic director is not just
about managing budgets and scheduling games it’s about nurturing a culture of excellence on and off the field, fostering student-athlete growth, and building strong relationships within our school and community.
Over the last few years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing remarkable achievements, both on and off the field. From winning seasons to individual athlete milestones, each success was a testament to the hard work and dedication of our coaches and student-athletes. I take pride in our coaches, athletes, parents and staff who have created an environment where athletes can thrive, develop their skills, and learn valuable life lessons through sports.
Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of my role has been the relationships I’ve built here at Saint Constantine. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside passionate coaches, supportive parents, and talented athletes who have inspired me daily. The friendships formed during this journey
are invaluable, and I will cherish the memories we’ve created together.
Our athletic program feels like a family. I am grateful for the bonds we forged and the collective spirit that made our teams successful. I am reminded that change is a natural part of life. While it is bittersweet to conclude this chapter of my life, I know that God's hand is at work and I take comfort in Proverbs 16:9: "A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." I choose to embrace this transition with open arms. It is not an end but a new beginning — an opportunity to explore new passions, spend more time with loved ones and to be of greater service to my church community.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at The Saint Constantine School. Y’all are beyond generous. To my colleagues, thank you for your unwavering support and collaboration. To the athletes, thank you for your dedication and passion that has inspired me every day. And to the parents, thank you for your encouragement and for believing in our programs. While I am stepping away from the role of athletic director, I carry with me the memories, lessons, and friendships that will last a lifetime. Here’s to new beginnings, embracing change, and the exciting adventures that await. I look forward to staying connected, sharing in the successes of our teams, and witnessing the continued growth of our students. I am trusting that with God’s guidance, we can continue to build a community that reflects His love and grace.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey!
