TEFA Program
Additional Information
The new Texas Education Freedom Account will provide eligible families with state-funded support—about $10,000 per student per year, with additional funds for students with disabilities—to help cover approved educational expenses such as private-school tuition. Applications are expected to open February 4, 2026 through Odyssey, the state’s online platform, for the 2026–27 school year. We encourage all TSCS families to apply for the new TEFA program.
Be ready when the applications open by reading the TEFA Parent Application Checklist
Families applying for TSCS financial aid are required to submit an TEFA application as part of the process.
We encourage all families to utilize the Texas Comptroller website and the Texas Private School Association for up to date news on this program.
