Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA)
In 2025, the Texas Legislature created the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program to expand educational opportunities for families across the state.
Beginning in February 2026, eligible families may apply for state funds that can be used for the 2026-27 school year:
-
Private school tuition
-
Educational expenses for homeschoolers
-
Tutoring and instructional services
-
Curriculum and materials
-
Career and technical education programs
The program will be administered by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, with Odyssey serving as the certified educational assistance organization. Through Odyssey’s online parent portal, families will be able to apply, search for eligible schools and service providers, and manage approved expenses.
Applications are expected to open in early 2026.
As additional guidance becomes available from the state, we will continue to update our community and help families understand how the program may support their student’s education at The Saint Constantine School.
ACE Scholarships
The Saint Constantine School is proud to partner with ACE Scholarships to help provide generous financial aid packages to families in need. ACE is an external organization that seeks to open the doors to private education to students who could not otherwise afford it. The Saint Constantine School works with ACE every year to increase the number of ACE scholarships granted to TSCS. We encourage families who qualify to apply for ACE scholarships. To learn more, please visit the ACE website.
Because of their unique funding model, ACE requires each family to apply for a scholarship separately, but awards scholarships directly to the partnering school. As ACE awards do not go out until May, TSCS awards all ACE applicants their complete financial aid award before ACE funds are applied. TSCS then uses ACE awards to fund the financial aid award packages already granted to families. The total financial aid package which a family receives from TSCS will include the ACE award if granted. However, we do not reduce awards for those who do not receive an ACE scholarship
