Finance Clerk

General Description: Finance Clerk

The Finance Clerk works with CFO / Director of Development and Business Manager to:

  • Maintain accounting and HR files (paper and electronic)
  • Maintain donation database and prepare reports
  • Assist with Accounts Payable, enter transactions, perform reconciliations, prepare budget reports
  • Update tuition database and monitor Accounts Receivable
  • Assist with special projects in finance, human resources and development areas

Qualifications: Accounting or Bookkeeping experience and/or education. Familiarity with Excel, QuickBooks, donation management databases, tuition management software. A proactive customer service approach to responding to issues raised by staff, families and vendors. Detail orientation, confidentiality, and motivation to seek cost-effective approaches. Willingness to
“roll up one’s sleeves” and do whatever is needed to help the school. Ability to communicate with staff, parents, vendors and students of all ages.

Reports To: CFO / Director of Development
Salary Classification: Part-time, non-exempt, twelve months
Supervision Of Others: None
Hours Per Week: 20
